Active Health is equipped with the latest GAITSCAN computer assessment technology. This allows our therapists to prescribe individual, custom-made Orthotics that help treat and prevent many foot, lower limb and back problems.
Active Health uses 'Gaitscan' technology to help asses your lower limb and gait. Our GaitScan™ System is a revolutionary diagnostic tool for assessing biomechanics. GaitScan™ has an industry high 4096 sensors and scans at an industry high 300Hz (scans per second). These measurements provide a sophisticated explanation of foot mechanics and assist with orthotic and/or shoe solutions.
TOG GaitScan™ is the most technologically advanced gait analysis system available and it has been designed to assist prescription of orthotic therapy and patient education. Additionally Active Physiotherapy modifies commercially available orthoses to suit individual needs for gait correction. Proper selection and modification can significantly improve lower limb function and reduce pain caused by improper limb alignment. Common conditions which can be rectified by orthotic prescription include: shin pain, plantar fasciitis, knee pain, foot pain, lumbar spine pain and pelvic dysfunction.
